As a busy mom of two girls, we are on the go a lot. This means, we eat on the go a lot; however, I don’t like feeding my girls some of the snacks available because they just aren’t that healthy. When I was given the chance to try Gerber’s Lil’ Beanies snacks for toddlers, I jumped at the opportunity!
Gerber Lil’ Beanies are snacks made from Navy Beans and Rice Flour versus corn (like in the Lil’ Crunchies snacks). They are available in an Original (Sea Salt) flavor and a White Cheddar & Broccoli Flavor (my personal favorite). The snacks aren’t just an “empty filler” like many chips and crackers out there available for toddlers; they are actually nutritional. The fact that these were so yummy AND good for my kiddos was a huge plus in my book!
In fact, they were so good, that we had a little picnic to share them with some of our friends. We had healthy foods to go with the Gerber Lil’ Beanies, and the kids LOVED the Lil’ Beanies! In fact, one of the kids just had to have his own cup of Gerber Lil’ Beanies to eat from.
The kids were grabbing the Lil’ Beanies with both hands and eating them, then running off to play (it was a pretty spring day), then back to the table for more Lil’ Beanies! It was a lot of fun to watch, and all kids were ready for a good nap afterwards. ????
All of our friends loved them (even my mommy friends liked them)! We gave everyone a container to take home with them so they could still enjoy them after the picnic was over. If you would like to try them, they are available at in Walmart stores, and at just $1.86 per container, it’s an affordable, healthy snack.
