Send a non-candy treat to school with your kids. You kids can even do this project themselves! FREE printable included!

This year, Valentine’s Day was here before I knew it. I always try to send a “non-candy” treat to school because my child brings home enough candy. Not to mention, you can really save some money if you go the non-candy route.

I found the 20-pack of bubbles pictured above for just $3.00 at Target. They had “boy” and “girl” colors, so I didn’t have to purchase two packs, and since there are 14 kids in my daughter’s class, it was the right amount of bubbles.

Once I got home, I dug out the twine, scissors, and hole puncher, then sat down to create little tags. I came up with this, added some hearts in three different colors, and printed it on card stock. You can download the FREE tags here.

Then I cut them out, wrote my daughter’s name on the back for the “from”, punched a hole at the top of each heart, put a piece of twine through it, and tied it around each bottle. It took around 10 minutes to do them, and it cost me just $3 plus tax since I already had the twine, scissors, card stock, and hole punch at home.

*Note: You can print this out on regular printer paper. I just did card stock since it is thicker and I knew it wouldn’t tear.
