I absolutely hate not knowing what I’m going to be cooking for dinner. When that happens, 9 times out of 10, the items I have on hand to cook need to be defrosted. This means if I had planned a menu, I would have known I needed to take something out of the freezer the night before and saved myself the extra stress. ????
One way I’ve learned to alleviate the stress of dinner is to write out a menu each week and stick to it. This also helps me save money because when I write out a menu, I know what additional items I will need to pick up from the store and can make one list and one quick trip. I also know when I need to make sure I take something out of the freezer to defrost ahead of time so that I can cook dinner for that night. Since I think planning a menu is a frugal idea and easy change to make in your life, I decided to start doing a Menu Planning Monday. Each Monday, I will list my menu for the week. As the weeks go on, I will start linking the recipes for some of my meals so you can add them to your recipe book too if it would be a great fit for your family’s menu. ????
Monday:: Pancakes, Bacon, Eggs, & Fruit
Tuesday:: Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, Garlic Bread, & Salad
