30 days to change

This is part of a 30 day series -30 Days to Change. I am giving you practical tips over the course of 30 days to have more change/cash by Christmas. If you missed a post, you can catch up here. save your change

If you’ve been through any Dave Ramsey curriculum, I’m sure you’ve learned about the importance of using cash to make your purchases. If you currently use cash and the envelope system, saving the change from your purchases can really add up.

When I was growing up, my parents had a really big jar they used to hold their change. Each evening, they put their change in the jar. Once it was full, my mom would roll it. Many years, this change was enough to pay for a weekend beach trip, or even Christmas!

Like I said, this is a simple task, but the benefits can be huge. Just simply get a jar or bowl, and place all your change in it at the end of the day or week. Don’t touch or use this change until it is full. Once it is full, roll it up, and deposit it into your savings account, or use it for some extra Christmas money.
