We are all doing our best to save money where we can for example by using youtube to mp3 converters. But nowadays with technology, it’s easier than ever to save money! There are quite a few money-saving mobile apps that give you rebates when you purchase certain items, points when you scan a receipt or walk into a store, and many other rewards. Over the past year, my savings has went up due in part to money saving mobile apps. There are other ways to help you save money particularly as your get older and are looking towards retirement, some people find that using something like this free equity release calculator might help them manage their money. However, with money-saving apps you can be on top of your spending 24/7, Here are fifteen I use weekly and I feel are a “must have” for any couponer or money-saving-mama. ????

Get these 15 money saving mobile apps to save even more on your groceries, household essentials, and even clothes!

1. Ibotta

Ibotta is a popular money saving app. You can submit your receipt to get rebates on certain items. I like that each week there are rebates for “any brand” items such as milk, condiments, cereal, and other items. You can use Ibotta at most major retailers. It cannot be used at Dollar Tree or small-town grocery stores. Once you reach $10, you can “cash out” via PayPal, Amazon Gift Card, Redbox Gift Card, and many other options. Download Ibotta here.

2. Checkout 51

Checkout 51 has quickly become my FAVORITE money saving app! Each week there are new rebates on produce and other items. This is one of the few apps that will give you cash back on produce! Checkout 51 can be used at ANY store. You can submit your receipts via the Checkout 51 app or the Checkout 51 website. This is great for those who don’t have Smart Phones. The minimum payout for Checkout 51 is $20 and they mail you a check. Download Checkout 51 here.

3. Shrink

Shrink is an app that pays you for milk EACH time you go to the store (this is HUGE for families like us with kids who go through milk a lot!). Shrink also has “brand rebates” where you can try new brands and if you like them, earn points to get FREE products from that brand! You can earn both “points” and cash through this app. You earn “points” for certain things like “liking” the brand on Facebook, purchasing milk, and other things. If you like Organic Products, they have a lot of rebates for them! Then you can exchange your points for cash! It’s very simple to use. You can find it in your app store and use the referral code XMBWRF to earn an additional $2.00 when you redeem your first offer!

4. Snap

Snap by Groupon is a fairly new app. They have new offers from time to time, but if you don’t reserve them, they can be “gone” by the time you purchase that item. Some of the rebates do not have limits on them, which means you can pair it with sales to really stock up sometimes. Other rebates have a limit of 1 or 2. The minimum payout for Snap is $20 and they do mail you a check. You can download Snap here.

5. Jingit

Jingit is pretty neat. You can earn cash on household and grocery essentials like milk, dishwasher detergent, and other items. You can also earn cash for watching short videos and scanning products at the store. The minimum payout is $5.00 and you can cash out via gift card. There are A LOT of different stores from which to choose. Last time I cashed out, I got a $10 Lowe’s Gift Card because my husband needed some things from Lowe’s. He was stoked I sent him a $10 Lowe’s gift card! You can download Jingit here.

6. SavingStar

SavingStar has ecoupons to go along with other coupons and rebates! Each week, you can save 20% on a particular produce item. Plus, there are often great rebates to go along with sales to really stock up on cleaning products, laundry detergent, and other items! Not to mention, each Friday they have a Friday Freebie where you can get 100% of the purchase price of a particular item deposited into your SavingStar account!

The one thing about SavingStar I recommend is to “activate” ALL the ecoupons available. You NEVER know when a great sale will come up that you can pair with coupons and a SavingStar rebate to get items completely FREE! There are a limited number of rebates, but if you’ve already reserved yours, you can get your freebie. ???? Minimum payout for SavingStar is $5. Download SavingStar here.

7. Target Cartwheel

Target Cartwheel is amazing! You can go through and find offers on items you use and save them to your “barcode”. At checkout, pull up the app and have your cashier scan your barcode for the discount to come off. You can save anywhere from 5-50% on items in the store with it. Not to mention you can stack it with Target coupons, manufacture coupons, rebates from all of these apps, and the Target RedCard to really maximize your savings! You can download the Cartwheel app from the app store for FREE.

8. Walmart Savings Catcher

Walmart unveiled their Savings Catcher late 2014. You can register for an account with Walmart and either upload your receipt via the app or type in your phone number at checkout. Walmart then looks at your receipt and compares it to the store sales within your area (excluding drug stores). If they find a price that is cheaper, they refund you the difference via a Walmart egift card. You can download the Walmart app in your app store for FREE.

9. Favado

Favado is a fantastic app to help you compare prices, see store sales, unadvertised sales, and make your shopping list. I may be a little biased since I work with them, but I LOVE Favado! You can easily search to see if a particular item is on sale and it will pull up the store sales, which coupons to stack with it, and how to get it for the lowest price. {You can also do that here.} The only thing to remember with Favado is that the folks like me who match up their ads for them live in different parts of the country. So the prices may vary a little when you walk into a Walmart in Washington State and the Walmart ad was matched up in Arizona. You can download Favado here.

10. Shopmium

Shopmium is a money saving mobile app that doesn’t have a minimum payout! That means, you can cash out at ANY time (this means you don’t have to meet a minimum to receive your payout). They have offers for Organic Products as well. You can download Shopmium for FREE in your app store. When it asks you for a referral code, use GMYKHKRV to get an offer for a FREE Lindt Chocolate bar!

11. MobiSave

Mobi Save is a new money saving mobile app with A LOT of different rebates. There is NO minimum payout and you are paid within twenty-four hours of submitting your receipt directly to your PayPal account. The only thing you have to do is “save” the offers before you check out or else you cannot redeem the rebate. There are new rebates each week (usually late Sunday nights/early Monday mornings). Download MobiSave here.

12. Coupons.com

Coupons.com is a GREAT app to have if you want to print more than two copies of a coupon for a good stock up deal. Of course, if you printed them from here, it would make me happy since that’s how this site stays free (and allows me to bring you awesome giveaways). To use the coupons.com app, you will also need to download the “eprinter” app. You will connect your mobile printer to the eprinter app. Then you will be able to print coupons from the coupons.com app on your phone. You can download the coupons.com app from your app store for FREE.

13. Shopkick

Shopkick is a really fun app that rewards you in “kicks” for walking into certain stores. Since one of those stores is Target, it is RIGHT up my alley! With Shopkick, you earn “kicks” which are points to redeem for gift cards when you walk into stores (like Target, Walmart, Old Navy, and more) and for scanning products within the store. This is an EASY way to earn FREE gift cards to use at Christmas when you are doing your Christmas shopping. You can download Shopkick here.

14. Receipt Hog

Receipt Hog is an app where you can take pictures of your receipt from ANY store and receive “coins” for them. You also earn “free spins” where you can earn more coins. Then you can redeem the coins for PayPal Cash or an Amazon gift card. It reminds me of playing those online casino games from places like paybyphonebillcasino.uk that offer free spins with your game, so you have a greater chance of winning. With Receipt Hog you can use the referral code blact497 when downloading Receipt Hog to get some free “spins” to earn extra coins and increase your chance of winning.

15. Amazon

Amazon is an excellent app to have when you are in Walmart or Target and are wanting to price match. You can pull up the item on your phone and show it to the cashier at checkout to get the lower price. Prices on Amazon can change at any time, so you will need to make sure it is that price when you check out. You can also use coupons when price matching Amazon to snag even better deals! You can get the Amazon app here.

Would you add any mobile apps to this list that help you save money weekly? I would LOVE to hear about them!
