This is a great place to find local modern art, jewelry and artisans work. There are also amazing classic pieces on display in the gallery for the person who loves both modern and classic at.
The largest flea market with over 1,700 vendors makes this a great fun place to walk around, browse and see what locals have for sell. You’ll likely find something you can’t leave without, but if not you’ll enjoy the time at this fun huge flea market and with hundreds of small and large vendor booths.
7. Holocaust Memorial.
This is a wonderful memorial to those who lost their lives in the midst of the Holocaust. Exhibits, photographs, letters and artifacts will help you to connect with this part of history. This is a great educational stop for homeschooling families.
8. Orlando Brewing Company.
This local brewery offers free tours after 6pm Monday through Saturday. A great fun place to visit for those who are beer enthusiasts.
9. Children’s Library.
Fun activities alongside the books and in library computers offer your family great ways to spend your time indoors. Check out their calendar of events online for special classes and events for the kids year round.
10. University Of Central Florida Arboretum.
This gorgeous area has tons of plant species, bike paths, trails to walk, amazing views for picnics, and even an area for disc golf. This is a great place to take some unique family pictures.
11. Fred Stone Theater.
Their “Second Stage Series” is free to view during the day on weekends and in the evenings on Thursdays and Saturdays. If you love fun local theater, this will be a hit for your family. Check here for current shows and times prior to arrival as seating is first come, first serve.
12. Portofino Bay Hotel At Universal.
Go here in the evenings to enjoy free concerts of Italian music. A great break for the entire family.
