One way to save money is to skip the hair salon and have hair cuts at home. Even if you just substitute your husband’s hair cut each month, you can save quite a bit of money each year.

My husband purchased a Wahl Chrome Pro 24-Piece Haircut Kit seven years ago. We finally had to replace it this past year. Each month, my husband pulls out his clippers and cuts his hair. Then I trim the back and around the sides for him. Just doing this has saved us more than $150 a year!

The average man’s hair cut costs around $15 each month. That adds up to $180 a year. If you purchase a Haircut Kit for around $25, you make your money back within two months. After that you have FREE haircuts for the rest of the year. That ends up saving you around $150 a year! If your set lasts you as long as ours lasted us (six years), that ends up saving you $900 over the course of six years! In my opinion, investing in a good set of clippers is well worth the return.
